Job Summary The Manager, Credit & Risk oversees the Credit Department, controls theprocesses of granting credit to clients and collecting delinquent and returned funds due the Company, and isresponsible for establishing, documenting, implementing and maintaining the Company’s credit policies and procedures. The Manager isresponsible for ongoing credit monitoring of the current client base, for establishing,in conjunction with the Vice President ofTreasury and Risk, collection benchmarks and forreporting to senior management on the Department’s performance against such benchmarks. The Manager will ensure visibility of uncollected and delinquent client funds among the accounting, operations and sales departments. The Manager is alsoresponsible for communications with the accounting, sales and operations departments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages the credit approval and collection processes, balancing the competing needs of risk mitigation and sales growth
  • Monitors client fund returns (NSFs) daily to ensure timely collection and resolution
  • Reviews the Company’s Aged A/R weekly to achieve established targets
  • Monitors and forecasts work flow volumes to ensure adequate staffing to meet agreed upon turn-around times for time-sensitive functions such as new client CDD/POC approvals, Tier III Risk Emails and Client Fund Collections
  • Acts as the business leader on initiatives to automate credit and fraud decisioning with the objective of minimizing manual effort to assess clients credit risk; keeps the project on timeline and budget
  • Collaborates with the PMO and Sales to ensure projects objectives are met, including ultimate automation on 95%+ of credit and fraud decisioning
  • Brings a continuous improvement mindset with an eye towards scalability of processes
  • Establishes, documents, implements and maintains credit policies and procedures
  • Actively develops and coaches associates in the Credit department
  • Ensures timely resolution of returns and delinquencies
  • Monitors credit granting process
  • Develops and fosters collaborative relationships with Accounting, Sales and Operations Departments
  • Tracks and reports on NSFs and delinquent accounts
  • Prepares and communicates summary reports to senior management
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experiencerequired; Business Administration, Finance, Accounting and/or Economics degreepreferred
  • At least 5 years prior credit management experiencerequired
  • Excellent communication, organizational and negotiation skills, including verbal, written, phone and face to face contact with associates and clients
  • Computer skills including experience with MS Office Suite; Intermediate excel skills required
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment and decision making with a minimal amount of direct supervision
  • Must be accessible outside of normal business hours for occasional, urgent issues that arise
  • Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically
  • Proven analytical thinking with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization
