The Naval Power Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has a challenging opportunity for a Manager, Contracts within the Shipboard Missiles Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) in the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM). This position will provide the necessary contracts management for a growing $500M+ portfolio. The ESSM program is structured as an international consortium between the U.S. and several NATO countries, with DoD, FMS, and DCS contracts.

This role will report directly to the Associate Director of Contracts for ESSM as an individual contributor role, you will be an integral manager for a demanding multi-faceted, strategic contract and key member of the greater ESSM team, creating solutions to support U.S. Navy and international customers.

The successful candidate would possess the following attributes, strong experience in risk assessment and negotiations, excellent business acumen and communication skills, experience in DoD and international contracting while providing contractual and business guidance to program management leadership

What You Will Do

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions.
  • Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking innovative contracting techniques, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policies/procedures to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.
  • Develop pre-negotiation objectives and implement negotiation strategy reviews as part of the proposal development process.
  • Support and lead complex negotiations.
  • Represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions while developing and maintaining trusting relationships with complex customers.
  • Some travel, both domestic and international, is anticipated.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Experience in the development of proposals and negotiations

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate27s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company27s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
