What do you get to do in this position?


This position is responsible for contract administration duties surrounding various contract types including reviewing client contract terms, preparing RFP documents, maintaining contract documents, ensuring contract compliance, managing a team of contract managers/specialists and providing them with guidance when consulting for internal and external customers regarding contracting principles and participation in negotiation.  This individual will report to the VP of Global Contracts Management and provide support to various entities under the North America Organization including but not limited to Project Managers, Project Tender Managers, Project Finance Controllers and Supply Chain.   Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Tendering Phase - Reviewing project contracts in English to identify commercial obligations, liabilities and risks.  Highlighting the aforementioned and documenting suggested exceptions and/or clarifications; Providing support in RFP efforts including playing an integral role in proposal preparation and bid/no bid analysis (risk analysis & management); Providing support in contract negotiation to Tender Managers; and Tracking and filing contracts and related documentation in the appropriate job files.   Execution Phase - Providing consultation regarding contractual policy and practice to internal business teams; Providing support in change management and claim/dispute resolution; Tracking and filing contracts and related documentation in the appropriate job files; Monitoring contractual commitments (Coming into Force, notifications, flow down requirements, insurance, invoicing, delivery, performance bond, tax and customs issues); Contract reporting;Validation of subcontract invoices against contractual terms; and Assisting with contract close out with appropriate project management team.   Team Management - Ensuring team members and other stakeholders deliver results efficiently; providing team members with support, effective coaching and mentorship needed to keep developing as professionals.
General - Moderate travelling may be required (~25%) Other duties may be assigned based on business need



This job might be for you if you:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree 
  • 8+ years of contract management experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience 
  • Industry related experiencepreferred i.e. energy automation, infrastructure, oil & gas, IT, etc. 
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Financial or legal background a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
