Role Purpose:
The Manager, Content Marketing is responsible for the development, curation and production of best-in-class, client facing thought leadership content with the goals of building the Tangerine brand and reputation, engaging and nurturing the client base, and building loyalty and consideration.
The primary focus of the Manager will be to own Tangerine’s Forward Together e-newsletter series, including overall strategy through to execution of monthly issues, as well as extending content to new platforms to create a content Ecosystem that leverages multiple different digital touchpoints.
The Manager will leverage data to build out a relevant topic calendar and work with internal and external partners and high quality content creators to deliver truly best-in-class value-added content.
The Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Investments & Deposits Marketing.
Is this role right for you?
- Leverage a variety of internal and external data sources, including consumer trends and Tangerine customer interests, and identify relevant and timely topics to develop and maintain the overall topic calendar.
- Work with agencies to build out an established roster of top-notch writers & content creators, who create in-depth, high-quality content pieces for use across multiple platforms.
- Continually evolve and uplevel the visual design of the newsletter and associated assets, incorporating multimedia and other innovative design treatments in an aesthetically engaging manner.
- Track and report on key metrics against overall objectives, continually incorporating learnings.
- Partner cross-functionally with Performance & Brand Marketing, Marketing Operations, Marketing Analytics, Product Management, Web & Mobile Channel teams & Service & Sales, etc. to achieve objectives.
- Track content production budget.
- Ensure Tangerine remains in compliance, and is aware of all banking/regulatory requirements, amendments and responsibilities.
Skills you need to succeed.
- University Degree in Marketing/Advertising/Communications and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 10+ years of marketing/editorial/journalistic experience in a demanding digital-oriented Tier-1 organization (e.g. Telco, Banking, Retail, Technology etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in Content Marketing strategy
- Knowledge of financial services is an asset
- Demonstrated experience in Content Marketing strategy
- Bilingual or some understanding of French is an asseto Strong communication skills (presentation, verbal and written)
- Analytical skills to identifying opportunities within data
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Confidence of influencing and presenting to senior management
- Capacity to assume broader responsibilities over time
