The Component Product Engineering Manager of the Aerojet Rocketdyne (AR) Valve, & Actuator Components is responsible for establishing a seamless working relationship with the engineering leadership at the West Palm Beach site. This position will be responsible to provide accurate, timely, and cost-effective component technical support for the development, fabrication and delivery of Valve & Actuator components. These components include, but are not limited to, procured and AR design sourced valves such as main valves, pressurization and ancillary valves. This position also requires coordination with the entire AR Component Product Engineering Management Team to ensure that all AR programs and initiatives, both today and in the future, are successful. This position will focus on managing individual contributors at the manager’s site to ensure personnel are trained and our programs are properly staffed and supported. The programs being supported mostly include programs at the West Palm Beach site, and on occasion programs and disciplines at other AR sites across the enterprise.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
The Manager of this AR Team will report to the Component Product Engineering Valves, Actuator, and In-Space Thrusters Director at Aerojet Rocketdyne.
25% - Work with the entire AR Component Product Engineering Management Team to coordinate the processes and methodologies for converting hardware requirements, risk, concerns and lessons learned to support in house and supplier activities.
20% - Coordinate component engineeringsupport to programs, operations and supply management.
20% - Support program design, specification and drawing reviews, failure analysis, anomaly resolution, and evaluation of hardware to perform as designed without failure.
15% - Recruit and mentor well qualified, highly capable, and diverse component engineers to support AR programs.
10% - Plan the overhead budget requirements for the process and provide input to the financial planning organization. Track and meet all financial goals.
10% - Continuously monitor and manage Component Product Engineering discipline health for the Valve, & Actuator Component area.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related engineering discipline and nine (9) years of progressively responsibleexperience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in component hardware technical support of aerospace propulsion components such as valves and actuators.
