The Job


As the Manager, Portfolio Operations Management, your primary role will be to oversee and support your team members in their day-to-day activities, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to meet performance goals. You will be responsible for the operational health and performance of a growing portfolio of commercial solar projects, will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, identifying and addressing project challenges, and driving continuous process improvement to optimize project outcomes. Additionally, you will be expected to provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on team and project performance

What You’ll Do

Manage a team of Portfolio Operation Managers throughout the US

Lead hiring, onboarding and employee development, providing values-aligned cultural leadership

Ensure commercial asset performance remains optimized

Collaborate cross-functionaly to support company-wide initiatives

Oversee solution delivery for commercial assets which includes: onboarding new clients and assets, identifying and resolving client escalations and performance issues with commercial solar systems

Support client and site host customers and field service technician communications

Drive culture of continuous improvement and rapid escalation to resolve issues and client feedback

Ensure client communications and reporting exceed expectations

Track, manage, and influence operational cost structure to ensure contracts deliver expected financial performance

Provide technical pre-sales support.

Oversee asset and portfolio performance assessments for prospective clients.

Support efforts to continuously identify, document, and adopt best practices and standardized operating procedures.

Help identify features and improvements for Omnidian’s proprietary platform. Cross-train team members in DAS portals and energy simulation tools.

Education and Experience

7+ years of professional experience

At least 5 years of experience in the solar energy industry, in monitoring operations, asset management, system design, or field service and maintenance

Proven experience in a leadership role, with responsibility for direct reports and cross-functional collaboration

Strong understanding of Technical Asset Management and asset performance

Experience reading and interpreting solar system design drawings

Strong understanding of solar technology, monitoring systems, maintenance practices, and solar industry landscape

Demonstrated a track record of excellent customer service and client communications.

Self-starter skilled at managing multiple tasks and priorities, working across daily routine tasks as well as innovative projects.

Experience with and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-mode environment

Highly organized and capable of driving multiple projects simultaneously

Solid technical understanding of business operations infrastructure and tools, including CRM, support ticketing, ERP, and business intelligence

Total Rewards Offering

Full base salary range of $82,000 - $110,000

Stock options

Up to 15% bonus, paid quarterly (new employees eligible for bonus program after 90 days of employment)

Salary Band and Philosophy: We place candidates within the band based on professional experience, not negotiating skills, as part of our overall effort to avoid gender pay discrepancy.

If you're a candidate with particularly deep experience and expertise, we're willing to bring you in at or possibly above the midpoint. All employees have the ability to move up in their band through annual merit increases (and move to the next band through promotions)
