SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides strategic leadership and operational implementation of processes to measure, analyze and improve quality and patient safety, including Identification, development and implementation of key metrics to measure and benchmark process and outcome performance in quality and patient safety and identify priorities for improvement. Facilitating consensus with senior operational and physician leadership regarding key metrics and priorities. Partnership with Risk Management to conduct root cause analyses. Implementation of methodologies such as FMEA, DMAIC, Lean, Rapid Cycle Improvement, Rapid Improvement Workshops, human factors analysis in partnership with clinical operations leadership and staff, to achieve organizational goals for quality and patient safety. Plans, directs and manages the overall operations of Clinical Quality. Provides strategic leadership and operational implementation of Clinical Quality activities including: NMH Peer Review Program. NMH Interdisciplinary Quality Committees. Analyzes data to detect trends and issues in order to mobilize teams and establish priorities. Responsible for complex clinical data analyses utilizing internal and external benchmark data. Produces and maintains dashboards for management and physician groups (e.g. EC dashboard, Clinical Quality Committees, ongoing professional practice reviews). Other responsibilities in support of organizational priorities. EEO/AA.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • · Master’s Degree.
  • · Demonstrated strength in leadership.
  • · 3 or more year’s healthcare experience.
  • · Proven knowledge in clinical quality.
  • · Proven management and project management experience.
  • · Strong analytic skills.
  • · Effective problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • · Experience using process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • · Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills for interaction at all levels of the organization including senior management.
  • · High level of energy and enthusiasm.

  • · Current license in IL is desired.
