The Manager of Clinical Informatics serves as the primary facility resource for the hospital based Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation, post implementation support, and as the liaison to Information Systems (IS). The Manager will work closely with the IS department to coordinate and lead hospital resources through the EHR and other EHR related implementations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Provides site resource (people, space, equipment) identification and allocation for EHR implementation activities and ongoing support.
Acts as primary point of communication and messaging of implementation and post implementation activities.
Coordinates facility resources to participate in current state assessment, workflow and process validation, testing and training activities.
Ensures facility compliance with EHR education, training plan and post implementation support guidelines.
Identifies site specific end user workstation needs in accordance with the Organization's recommended standards. Validates end user access and security rights.
Coordinates and activates hospital command center activities, working closely in conjunction with IS. Coordinates implementation of site specific policies and procedures to support EHR utilization and adoption of supporting practice and process.
Provides analysis of end user business needs to ensure that the applications are performing to expectations and supporting adoption.
Monitors adoption and champion application utilization via coordination of super user activities; encouraging super user adoption.
Participates in EHR training activities as a super user.

Advanced computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.
