Job Summary:

A qualified candidate will be an upper-level (5+ years) professional in financial planning and analysis, with a desire to learn about the gaming industry, finance, performance management, and other critical business areas. A candidate will be responsible for supporting the FP&A organization to analyze business performance and provide key recommendations and insight into critical business decisions. A successful Manager in this position will be an individual who can provide broad-based functional analysis, communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, developing strategic partnership with Accounting, Analytics, Corporate and Property leadership, and exhibit a persistent curiosity to identify relevant trends across the business. The candidate is expected to effectively utilize a team of financial Analysts to support key projects while providing leadership and skill development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting ad-hoc analyses including, but not limited to:

– Operations performance reviews

– Competitive intelligence

– Financial modeling

– Decision analysis

– Research to inform financial model assumptions

  • Ensuring that analyses are thoughtful, insightful, and professionally structured
  • Ensuring leaders optimize standard analytical tools & reports
  • Developing and supporting production reports for departments across the enterprise
  • Development of material for the Senior Management Team or Board or Directors
  • Proactively researching business trends across functions and communicating findings to management
  • Proactively identify problems that require analytic intervention; employee is not just 'assigned' projects but is identifying opportunities
  • High proficiency with systems relevant to functional area
  • Managing Enterprise Analytics relationships with senior executives and property leaders
  • Demonstrates ability to manage and mentor junior staff and/or teams; employee identifies/leads initiatives in support of departmental committees, EOS, and other key areas to improve the overall work environment
  • Able to lead large, high-profile projects from start to finish
  • Can prioritize requests based on their impact to the business and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly
  • Can be assigned complex problems in 'concept' and be trusted to translate them into the appropriate outlines, supporting data, and effectively communicate results
  • Develop financial models and research key inputs to inform key business decisions for the same-store portfolio

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier program in one of the following areas: Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Accounting or Engineering
  • MBA Preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning or related role, preferably within the gaming or hospitality industries
  • Must be technically skilled and have experience using data analysis tools including MS Office products; must be able to quickly learn relevant industry database applications and software.
