Responsibilities:


This exciting and challenging role directs the daily activities of the application platform services team ensuring the team is well-positioned to provide secure application platform services with a focus on the design, development and continuous improvement of application platforms and environments. Provide leadership for a highly technical and motivated hands-on team engaging in tooling & technology research, automation, orchestration, containerization, standardization, performance engineering and application platform engineering support activities. Using agile practices as part of a highly collaborative and DevOps-focused environment, work closely with infrastructure engineering & operations teams, product development & CI/CD teams, information security, technology enablement (including architecture teams), innovation and analytics. Technologies include strict alignment with secure platform standards and practices in support of on-premises and/or cloud-based virtualized application servers on Windows Server & Linux, tooling such as Octopus Deploy & Azure DevOps, and emerging technologies such as infrastructure/configuration-as-code & containerization capabilities. Encourages continuous growth around application platform technologies and fosters learning for team members with regular coaching, training and managing of performance and career development plans.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Business Administration, MIS or related discipline with an IT focus. Master's degree or equivalent experience, desirable.

6+ years implementing and managing progressive, broad-based enterprise IT systems with a focus on server technologies.

Experience with agile practices, service pipeline automation development, DevOps, configuration-as-code/infrastructure-as-code capabilities, and knowledgeable in Microsoft application platform technologies. Similar Linux knowledge, desirable.
