Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in field of assignment. Two (2) years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong EMR background required and EPIC experience preferred.
    • Existing certification in Ambulatory EpicCare and experience with Cadence and Prelude highly desired. Certification in all Epic applications preferred.
  • Experience with training and/or curriculum design preferred.

Job Duties

  • Oversees the delivery of EMR and related workflow training for outpatient clinic staff and providers.
  • Analyzes training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs to align with organizational goals.
  • Develops/coordinates initial and ongoing training plans for staff and providers.
  • Develops and organizes training materials using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, e-learning, on-site demonstrations, on-the-job training, webinars, conferences, and workshops.
  • Trains instructors in techniques and skills for training and conducts or arranges for ongoing technical training and personal development classes for instructors and other direct reports.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training.
  • Evaluates trainer/instructor performance, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintains knowledge of contemporary staff training and development methods and theory.
  • Teaches content as needed and/or assigned to facilitate training team goals.
  • Develops and maintains competency on all pertinent applications and technologies.
  • Arranges for the maintenance of all necessary equipment and materials relating to the effective delivery and measurement of training.
