The role is responsible for day to day management of a team of accounting staff which includes: planning, managing and evaluating workflow of the designated teams and coordinating work activities to meet time, compliance and operational requirements.
Accounting Manager will support various areas of Sb Svcs including revenue, cost of services, selling and general and administrative costs. The position will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial close processes are met as well as owning SOX and other Control activities.

Accountabilities:

-Manages the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring proper allocation of work, accuracy and timely completion of assigned work.
-Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly, quarterly & year end close
-Monitors & Analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures & use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
-Performs quarterly compliance reporting, e.g. QFDP
-Ensures clean and timely yearend audits in collaboration with external audit teams
-Process month end journal entries, not limited to accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, treasury, revenue and expenditures

-Assist in the research variances to budget and provide explanations. Assists in budgeting as needed.
-Maintains accounting controls and provide enhancements to those controls. Enforces company policies and procedures.
-Ensure revenue and expenses are posted in the correct legal entity
-Develop/identify/implement opportunities for improving Month-end close processes.
-Oversees & performs all SOX, compliance and control functions for the site. Works with operations on corrective actions to remedy deficiencies.
-Responsible for all account reconciliations including, credit cards, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, capital accounts, etc.
-Work with internal audit or external auditors as necessary.
-Has direct responsibility for front line staff results. Identifies opportunities and implements changes to increase departmental, team and individual performance.
-Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine accounting transactions
-Work with senior management to forecast and analyze current and future staffing levels. This includes the recruitment, hiring, development and evaluation of all departmental personnel.
-Manages staff performance by utilizing coaching, mentoring and other performance management methodologies. Conducts regular performance appraisals and aligns with company objectives. Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives and monitor/advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
-Responsible for all Product Code Creation to ensure process is being followed
-Oversees GL accounts and payment of invoices. Reviews GL reconciliations
-Guides other departments by researching & interpreting accounting policies; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues
-Collaborate with Corporate Shared Services to support overall business unit goals and objectives
-Support Controller/ Senior Manager with special projects and workflow process improvements
-Support Controller/Senior Manager on Acquisition integration
-Support budget and forecast activities
-Supports Payroll and Human Resources as needed.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or CPA designation
- 5+ years experience in General Accounting, Management
-Advanced Technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Word, Access
-Ability to learn and understand various accounting systems including Cognos, SAP
-Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
-Demonstrated ability to function and lead a team in an environment with tight deadlines
-Demonstrated competency to perform under pressure, & ability to lead teams under pressure
-High energy, quick thinking, computer savvy, considerable hands on accounting experience
-Above average capability to cope with large workload and last minute projects/demands
-Leadership competencies: coaching and mentoring, establish goals and manage performance
-Ability to collaborate cross functionally and partner up
-Ability to work independently within a goal driven team
-Strong understanding of and implementation of internal controls
-CPA/CA required
-Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles, concepts and practices
-Multi-currency, multi-entity, intercompany experience
-SAP experience is a nice to have
