JOB SUMMARY
: General job purpose is to ensure accuracy of financial results (accounting function) and financialreporting submissions to NBCU and Comcast (reporting function). Additionally, candidate must identify and implement process automation procedures for reporting process. Job involves leading a team of senior accountants and/or accountants. Additional aspect of job includes managing the external audit process. Candidate must participate in financial reviews with executive leadership.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct and supervises the overall financial function for intern.
  • Oversee month-end financial close process.
  • Manage finance staff by providing leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development, and performance management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financialreporting of business results with variance commentary.
  • Perform in-depth analysis on actual financial performance extending findings to provide meaningful recommendations.
  • Develop short and long term financial plans including forecasts, budgets, and five year plans for areas under Financial Reporting scope including but not limited to Fringe and Breakage
  • Perform ad hoc accounting research, new business analysis, ROI’s, and financial models utilizing sensitivity and scenario tools.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required. Associate’s degree (AA) is required. Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is required.

EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years, 3-5 years of Supervisory preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
CPA and Big 4 experience are preferred
