In this very diverse and new role you will be responsible for the build out of your team over time as the new Center of Excellence for Accounting Reporting is deployed. Direct supervision of 5 – 7 Accounting, Reporting and System Analysts will be your core as you grow.
In a matrix environment will consult with the NAAC Tower Leaders to design and deploy standard accounting reporting, system implementations and process improvements to deliver high quality financial data to the Divisional and Corporate Business Partners.
Basic Function
The Manager, Accounting (NA-AC Financial Center of Excellence - Reporting) will be responsible for directly supporting the NA-AC and Divisional leadership in the standardization, harmonization and process improvements related to the financial accounting and management reporting.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the deployment of standard processes in the areas of month end reporting to Corporate, month end/quarterly/annual reporting to each Division and driving best in class standard protocols for system deployments and accounting and reporting processes.
Processes such as Intercompany reconciliations, repmods preparation, AR Reporting/DSO metrics, financial statements disclosure preparations, ad hoc reporting and other deliverables whether requested by Corporate, Divisional management or others will be a priority.
Additionally, this role is responsible for reviewing current KPI metrics and reporting packages and meeting with respective business Unit partners to determine when changes need to be incorporated to assist with Risk and Control Gaps assessments and resolution.
The purpose of creating this group is to continue the migration of the NA-AC transformation road map to become a “best in class” Accounting Center. The FCOE-R will consist of Subject Matter Experts who will enable NA-AC to deploy policies, procedures and system designs related to the Period End Financial Close in a consistent manner.
The areas of focus will expand across time based on the needs of the organization. You will have the opportunity to utilize the dedicated team members to drive accounting and reporting improvements in STEP SAP and other ERPs utilizing Blackline or other tools to reduce manual work and improve the period-end reporting provided to GBS, NA-AC and Divisional management and partners.
This position is critical to the overall accounting and control environment of the NA-AC and Wolters Kluwer to enable achievement of the aligned goals and objectives.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
