Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for cash and cash equivalents, external debt, and intercompany activities and corresponding General Ledger accounts
  • Work with Corporate Accounting and Treasury groups (Dublin, Ireland) to perform Intercompany Reconciliations and execute Intercompany Netting payments
  • Prepare Quarterly Debt Leverage Ratio Calculations in accordance with Debt Agreement working with Corporate Accounting and Treasury groups (Dublin, Ireland)
  • Work with Technical Accounting group and Global Controller to establish Debt Accounting guidelines and account for debt instruments in General Ledger
  • Maintain process for, and corresponding accounting of, global Cash Pooling
  • Prepare 13-week rolling cash forecast for U.S. entities
  • Execute Foreign Currency Revaluation and reconciliation process on a monthly basis
  • Monitor and resolve vendor and customer payment exceptions
  • Serve as Assistant Treasurer for Horizon's Political Action Committee (PAC)
  • Work closely with Financial Systems group to identify and resolve ERP (SAP) system issues that arise, including testing of new or re-configured functionality
  • Provide documentation related to quarterly and ad-hoc external audit requests
  • Participate in continual improvement processes and promote automation across all responsibilities
  • Maintain working knowledge of legacy accounting systems

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification a plus
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word
  • Professional and proactive demeanor

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills with ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Experience with a major ERP financial system, particularly SAP, is a plus
