Key contributor to the quarter close and financial reporting processes, including review of journal entries, variance analysis and supporting schedules.
Manage consolidation and statutory filing requirements for various international subsidiaries, including managing external specialist, external auditors and liaise with our Corporate tax department.
Manage Fixed Assets accounting processes, including monthly close and reconciliations to subledger, as well as support FP&A with CapEx reporting.
Review quarterly account reconciliations, driving proficiency within the parameters of NBCUniversal policies.
Working closely with the Senior Manager and Assistant Controller to ensure there are adequate levels of review and oversight over the domestic and international business units’ accounting and reporting processes.
Perform technical accounting research as required, assist in providing technical guidance to and work with business units to implement new standards as necessary.
Manage and develop Film HQ controllership staff (managers, and senior financial analysts).
Managing SOX 404 key controls, certification, quarterly reviews, annual audit and statutory audits.
Drive initiatives that identify process improvement opportunities and build efficiencies into existing reporting routines.
Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of accounting related experience. Combination of public accounting and entertainment industry preferred. Straight public candidates with significant experience working with entertainment industry and relevant technical accounting matters will be considered.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Applicant should be a team player and be able to work with a variety of personalities.
Strong leadership skills and ability to work with multiple business units/divisions.

Knowledge of Business Warehouse / SAP preferred
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
