Position Description The Account Manager is responsible for soliciting orders and selling products within a designate region while providing excellent customer service. This position partners with Territory Sales and the Regional Manager in the designated territory and will use independent discretionary judgment to provide competitive pricing as well as strategic programs to grow sales using account data.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
¿ Responsible for growing sales and profits in assigned territory
¿ Actively looks for new accounts; web research, outside salesmen partnerships, blogs, clubs, buying groups, etc…
¿ Works in compliance to sales policies and procedures
¿ Meets territory sales and profit expectations, i.e. Sales Quota, Profit Margin, Percent of Web Transactions, Expense Control and Return Rates
¿ 6 month Business Planning and Budgeting
¿ Contact management
¿ Customer service and issue resolution
¿ Outbound to Inbound call ratio expectation is 75 / 25
¿ Overnight travel is required on a as needed basis
¿ Works closely with the Regional Sales Manager, developing account strategy, opening new accounts and developing routed customers within assigned territory.
¿ Maintains open communication between sales, AR, Customer service, Order Desk, Marketing, and Pricing
¿ Participates in making IMC a better company though the company ticket system Position Requirements 3-5 Years Experience
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
¿ Comfortable telemarketing to various types of accounts
¿ Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills required with Word and PowerPoint skills a plus
¿ Ability to work collaboratively with local sales teams in a matrix and fast paced startup environment
¿ Clear understanding of technical solutions necessary in servicing various account types (Shop Management, data requirements, etc.)
¿ Experience in building long term relationships
¿ Possess’ strong communication skills both written and verbal
¿ Has the ability to work professionally with all levels of individuals both internal and external
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
¿ Repetitive use of hands and arms due to data entry requirements.
¿ Eye strain from continual computer use.
¿ Ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds.
¿ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Sales Management or equivalent work experience required
¿ Experience in Sales may be substituted for formal education on a two (2) years experience for one (1) year education basis
