Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

Serve as the senior delivery lead for consulting engagements, as well as:

  • Manage the technical, business and personnel aspects of consulting engagements
  • Manage the invoicing, backlog and resource management activities for assigned consulting engagements
  • Support multiple engagements on a part-time basis as the overall engagement manager and work with the assigned project managers to ensure successful delivery
  • Serve as the day-to-day project manager for one of our larger, more strategic clients/engagements
  • Lead strategic engagements while also serving as the lead consultant/strategist
  • Outstanding change management skills to communicate complex strategies and approaches to gain client and Perficient team buy-in from the boardroom to the line employee
  • Cultivate highly functioning teams comprised of Perficient and client resources
  • Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality to promote client satisfaction
  • Serve as a key member of the solution delivery team by facilitating requirements/design sessions and producing deliverables
  • Mentor and provide solutions delivery expertise to less experienced team members
  • Monitor engagement team performance and provide feedback

 

Develop strong client relationships by:

  • Partnering with the business developer to collaboratively drive ongoing client development activities
  • Participating on client engagement steering committees as necessary to set client expectations and issue and resolution management
  • Performing a key role in the business development process by:
    • Leading the business development efforts from a delivery perspective
    • Developing overall estimates of the effort, resource requirements, and schedule
    • Analyzing pricing/approach options and advising the general manager on related business considerations and impact of different options
    • Leading risk-assessment efforts during the proposal process and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies

 

Potential additional responsibilities

 

Resource management:

  • Ensure that sold client engagements are staffed with appropriately skilled resources
  • Manage resource assignments to projects
  • Monitor utilization and develop plans to maintain acceptable levels
  • Ensure colleague reviews are completed on a timely basis
  • Monitor and ensure colleague satisfaction with Perficient

 Business management:

  • Maintain an accurate backlog for sold client engagements
  • Manage key metrics to ensure they are in alignment with defined targets such as revenue, cost of delivery, utilization, ABR, and DSO
  • Be a key participant in the process to ensure quality proposals and to validate the business commitments and financial terms of proposals
  • Monitor and ensure client satisfaction

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience delivering comprehensive technology-based solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degreepreferred)
  • A strong understanding of the professional services industry, including technical services, systems integration, and strategic business solutions
  • Experience delivering full lifecycle solution development engagements for enterprise initiatives
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Comfort in facilitating interactions and discussions with C-level executives
  • Experience managing the proposal process and pursuit teams in a consultative, solution-based sales model
  • An ability to present proposal solutions to all levels of client management
  • An ability to articulate complex issues, thought leadership, and the business value of solutions
  • Experience with accurate project estimation and planning
  • Experience with risk management, issue resolution, and change control
  • Proven management, leadership, and mentoring skills
