Managed Services | Sales and Business Development

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Managed Services sales professional who is a hunter.

Should have a sound business acumen selling to mid-sized firms, coupled with a strong understanding of Managed Services offerings: such as Cloud Services, Support Services and IT integration. Requires a strong technical aptitude and natural sales instinct.

The Managed Services Business Development Representative will be responsible for full-life cycle consultative sales from client initiation through project closure. This position reports directly to the Head of Managed Services for the Americas.

Compensation is a package comprised of a targeted $100K-$130K base salary before earned commission (TBD DOE)

Major Responsibilities:

·        Actively develop and maintain client and third party relationships

·        Identify opportunities for further sales and new areas for development

·        Work closely with Managed Services Team and Management to generate responses to RFPs and RFIs

·        Acquire and maintain sound knowledge of all services offered and pricing structure

·        Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers in person and remote

·        Cold calls or other direct sales techniques to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business;

·        Respond to incoming email and phone inquiries;

·        Act as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets;

·        Gather market and customer information;

·        Representative at exhibitions, events and demonstrations;

·        Negotiate price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers

·        Advise on forthcoming product developments and special promotions

·        Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer

·        Liaise with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders

·        Record sales and order information in coordination with the Commercial Manager, or ERP

·        Continuously challenge your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;

·        Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;

Required Skills/Experience:

·        Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University

·        Must have previous salesexperience

·        Strong knowledge of the technology sector

·        Self-motivated and able to work independently

·        Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

·        Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

·        Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and presentation skills including content development for client-facing presentations

·        Excellent problem solving and consultative capabilities

·        Must be willing to travel and work evenings as necessary

·        Must have strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
