Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to install and maintain three mainframe security software products: RACF, CA-ACF2, and CA-TopSecret. This position will also manage and employ the use of diverse security administration methodologies, tools and reporting mechanisms.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs security administration, enhancement and tuning to support our customers' development, test and production environments
  • Performs day-to-day security maintenance (such as creating backups), security administration, and reporting
  • Develops, enhances and/or supports technical approaches that allow successful audits and scalable implementations of large, complex mainframe environments
  • Identifies and resolves performance issues
  • Facilitates project planning efforts by establishing and meeting work estimates, target dates, milestones and schedules
  • Participates in customer disaster recovery exercises
  • Participates in ongoing development and improvement of installation standards
  • Updates customer incident tickets and change orders with effective communication providing internal management and customer account managers with status information
  • Works with project managers in the development and implementation of project plans and timelines
  • Provides team members with technical training and/or mentoring as needed
  • Provide primary support for reported problems related to software in assigned area of responsibility and related products
  • Fulfills ServiceNow requests for customers as they pertain to software in assigned area of responsibility and related products

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science
  • At least five (5) years experience in mainframe security administration and support to include SMP/E installation, maintenance, and support experience specifically related to RACF, CA-ACF2 and CA-TopSecret

  • Demonstrated ability to install, maintain, and support mainframe security products such as RACF, CA-ACF2, and CA-TopSecret
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and effectively to customers' support requests
  • Experience in establishing policies and procedures pertaining to security administration and utilization
  • Demonstrated ability to control and resolve system and user problems
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain system efficiency and integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to transition customers to ensure all technical issues are addressed to reach expected progress of transition date
  • Demonstrated ability to execute tasks associated with customers' disaster recovery plans
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of assembler

Essential Functions

The position exists to provide technical consulting solutions to customers and as such requires the ability to travel to and from customer sites and interact with customers on an ongoing and regular basis.
