Experience:

B.S. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree with 3+ years' of experience within a PSM regulated chemical manufacturing plant. This person must have maintenance & reliabilityexperience, having done predictive maintenance work. Ideally, this person would have worked with the following unit operations: reactors, heat exchangers, dryers, blowers, mills and rotating equipment, as well as have experience with DCS controls and Six-Sigma.

 

Job Description:

Our client just recently built this state-of-the-art, medium sized specialty chemical plant and is continuing the expansion. This person would be responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of plant equipment, such as reactors, dryers, pumps and grinding mills, as well as plant utilities such as heat, gas, water and steam systems. This site also uses Johnson Yokagowa controls. Other responsibilities for this role includes the design through installation of new and replacement equipment, setting up reliability and nondestructive procedure, along with analyzing data of repeating equipment failures. The parent company to this facility is a large, international chemical company that has multimillion-dollar expansions in progress in the Baton Rouge, LA area.
