The Maintenance Manager directs and manages the planning and activities of personnel engaged in preventive maintenance, repair and maintenance of production equipment and fabricating tooling in the plant and warehousing locations. They will supervise maintenance supervisors, technicians, tool makers, and other personnel involved in the maintenance of the production equipment.
Ensure maximum up time on all manufacturing equipment to include, but not limited to machining, assembly, and shop equipment.
Maintain preventive maintenance programs to include predictive techniques and methods.
Implement continuous improvement activities designed to increase up time and equipment efficiencies.
Direct and supervise maintenance staff.
Provide support to other technical resources.
Essential Skills and Experience:
8-10+ years in related manufacturing operations
Proven Problem-Solving skills
Proven interpersonal and communication skills
Proven leadership skills.
Expert-level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within maintenance.
Proven ability to train individuals to repair production/manufacturing equipment.
Expert level knowledge of machining/production processes and machine maintenance and/or repair processes/procedures.
Experience with machining and/or highly complex technical operations.
Proficient in requirements of local, state and federal laws as required for industrial manufacturing (e.g. OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.).
Strong hands-on electro-mechanical skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC troubleshooting/programming and electrical installation/repair.
Two (2) years of management/supervisory experience.
Strong coaching; team-building and interpersonal skills.
