    The Position

    Imerys has a new opening for a Maintenance Manager to support projects and operations for one of our North America Divisions. This Maintenance Manager role is high visibility in the organization with opportunity for growth.

    What will put you ahead:

    • Experience with industrial electrical systems design, process controls design and implementation, electrical construction techniques
    • Power systems distribution experience a plus
    • Size reduction-crushing and grinding experience a plus
    • Project Management experience a plus
    • Experience and ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues using electronic diagnostic tools
    • Knowledge of electrical safe work practices
    • Experience with PLC programming

    A Day in the Life:

    • The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating a strong safety culture, driving positive change, improving maintenance systems, and effectively leading associates.
    • Performing required designs within the engineering discipline, milling process study/evaluation recommendations  for continuous improved process, evaluation and selection of equipment and materials
    • Directly participating in the commissioning of process technologies.
    • Implementing ideas to improve the profitability of various processing units.
    • Identifying problems related to routine work & determining solutions within scope of prescribed methodology
    • Performing root cause analysis to troubleshoot manufacturing efficiency, quality, or waste issues
    • Developing calculations and documentation packages for process design projects according to project standards and company standards.
    • Estimating materials, time & cost of projects.
    • Leading evaluation & selection of equipment & materials.
    • Driving plant productivity using six sigma or lean manufacturing methods along with fundamental Chemical Engineering principles.
    • Preparing financial analyses of each process improvement to determine the impact to the business and the project priority.
    • Working with other engineering disciplines on multi-discipline engineering projects.
    • Participating as required on internal or customer process improvement teams.
    • Troubleshooting production issues
    • Ensuring the facility's control systems are operating reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with all electrical safety regulations
    • Acting as a technical resource to operations
    • Possessing strong project management skills, strong analytical capabilities, proven ability to direct and track progress of projects, problem solving, and organizational & communication skills
    • Working with project teams and contractors to specify and install systems

    What you will need:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in chemical, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering, or associated field of study
    • Five (5) or more years of demonstrated electrical, process controls, and project management experience
    • Experience and advanced proficiency with PLC programming
    • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office
    • Willingness to work safely, and promote and enforce safe work practices
    • Project Management experience a plus
    • Experience and ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues using electronic diagnostic tools
    • Knowledge of electrical safe work practices
    • Experience with PLC programming
