Non-automotive manufacturer is seeking a maintenance manager for their growing manufacturing facility.  The maintenance manager willreport to the plant manager and have up to five direct maintenancereports on multiple shifts. Dailyresponsibilitieswill include:

  • Managing, coaching and motivating company maintenance staff
  • Overseeing equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance plans
  • Minimizing downtime in order to meet production goals
  • Completing project management of maintenance and continuous improvement activities
  • Participating on a team focused on capital equipment projects; oversee timelines and budgets as needed
  • Purchasing electrical and mechanical maintenance components and parts
  • Tracking time and attendance for maintenance staff  
  • Processing daily, weekly and monthly paperwork
  • Overseeing facility maintenance and improvements
  • Additional responsibilities as delegated by the plant manager

This position requires candidates to be on the floor up to 70% of their day.  The company is experiencing excessive growth; candidates should be willing to work additional hours in order to meet maintenance support goals.  Candidates should be energetic, have the ability to coach and mentor others and be able to take ownership of projects.   Benefits are very competitive.

Requirements for the maintenance manager:
1. High School Diploma 
2. At least 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing maintenance management position 
3. Experience overseeing others
4. Mechanical troubleshooting (including gears, pneumatics, motors and transmissions, etc.)
5. Electrical troubleshooting (including sensors, servos, lasers, vision systems, etc.)
6. Experience making process improvements and finding cost savings
7. Experience supporting SAFETY initiatives within a manufacturing environment
8. Microsoft Office  
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. Lean or Six Sigma certifications
2. Plant start up and/or expansion
3. PLCs and/or Robotics
4. CMMS experience
