Maintenance/Facilities Manager

Our client producing complex, made to order, electro-mechanical equipment profitably since the 1950s seeks to add a Maintenance/Facilities Manager. The client, having a reputation for being employee oriented, is adding this position due unprecedented growth. The hands-on Maintenance/Facilities Manager will oversee all daily and long-term maintenance activities and projects on the manufacturing floor as well as physical plant. This includes delegation of tasks, preventative maintenance, overseeing repairs, tracking mechanical performance and more. You need to be mechanically and technically savvy and have proven leadership and organization skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot problem areas, develop action plans and oversee repairs
  • Maintain plant, grounds, equipment, spare parts inventory, vendor relationships
  • Assess maintenance work processes; data analysis to prevent and prepare for future issues
  • Develop/implement measures including quality checks to minimize breakdowns and repairs
  • Preventative maintenance scheduling; recommend plant/equipment improvements/replacements
  • New employee training and evaluations to ensure adherence to ISO9001 and health and safety standards
  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets

Key requirements:

 

  • 8+ years each maintenance and managerial experience including planning, scheduling preventative maintenance programs
  • Hands-on leader with previous supervisory experience; willing to roll up sleeves and pitch in where/when necessary
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and subcontractors
  • Solid systems ? some exposure to ERP; solid Excel
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude; solid systems skills

Compensation: Based on experience up to $120k, no relocation assistance available
