A Senior Mainframe Programmer/Analyst with demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and supporting large application software systems. Senior Programmer/Analyst must possess excellent analytical and skills, and the ability to handle day to day management of multiple applications for various lines of business. Have the ability to lead a team to build solutions through application configuration, code development, and integration of data in order to improve the execution of the business process. Mentor junior developers to create/ follow coding standards and best practices

Fundamental Job Tasks

  • Work with all IT leads for the requirements and priority. Provide necessary inputs on the best practices draft technical specifications and complete necessary development/ support activities.
  • Provide level 2 and 3 technical support (install, customize, upgrade, administration, problem resolution)
  • Coordinate as part of a team to design, program, test, and implement application software per system specifications and within project timelines and budget.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Accurately and effectively communicate project status.
  • Write accurate and detailed user documentation for developed or implemented software application systems.
  • Assist the team in development of functional skills, technical skills and experience.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or otherBachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of formal education and related experience.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years application software development in Mainframe technologies.

  • Applicable Skills with:

    • IBM Mainframe (OS/390, MVS, COBOL, JCL, TSO, ISPF, CICS, VSAM), AIX (UNIX Commands, UNIX Scripts, Micro Focus COBOL)

    • Optional : Oracle (SQL & PL/SQL), Windows, AS400, Crystal Reports
  • Experience with Warehouse Management, Distribution and Retail Supply Chain.

  • Strong understanding of data, information management and end-user-reporting tools.

  • Strong structured systems analysis and design experience.

  • Outstanding problem solving skills and strong organization skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
