Your Opportunity
The Schwab Cybersecurity Services (SCS) organization is a centralized Center of Excellence (COE) within Schwab Technology Services (STS) that provides security services to advance Schwab's security posture of critical assets.
As a member within the Cybersecurity Data Protection, Data Engineering Team, you'll serve as a versatile machine learning engineer and developer. You'll exercise your expertise in data structures, algorithms, machine learning fundamentals and various frameworks and software engineering and system design to build an end-to-end ML workflow pipeline in the cloud (preferably GCP). We work exclusively with cyber data, and you'll be expected to support the deployment of various ML use cases on the cloud, working alongside with other data engineers and data scientists.

We work exclusively with cyber data, and you'll be expected to support the deployment of various ML use cases on the cloud, working alongside with other data engineers and data scientists.
- Hands on developer role.
- Hands on development with data engineers and data scientists to build data and model pipelines that deploy ML workflow in the cloud (GCP preferred)
- Be the go-to person for software engineering, software design and code deployment.
- Implement the best practices to deal with issues related to latency, resilience, throughput, modularity, scalability, and reusability as they pertain to different use cases
- Research, advise and implement ways to improve the existing machine learning infrastructure
- Collaborate with other teams on topics of shared interests so that we can reuse the common tools and techniques
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
- Must have at least 5+ years of hands-on software development with data engineers and data scientists to build data and model, research, advise and implement ways to improve the existing machine learning infrastructure
- Must have at least 1-5 years' experience in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, data mining, pattern recognition or predictive modeling
- Must be fluent in Python, at least 5 years working in it.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
- Experience in C/C++, Java or another programming language is a plus.
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks: scikit-learn, TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch (optional)
- Bonus points for experience working with cloud (GCP preferred) technologies for data processing and developing production level ML models
- Ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical subjects to different stakeholders
