Controls Engineer Entry to Sr level (2-5+ years) 


  • Design, implement and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.
  • Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams.
  • Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or build specifications using standard techniques and approach.
  • Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment; up to 25% travel expected yearly.
  • Expected to participate in several on-going controls projects concurrently
  • Take project assignment and direction from Senior and Lead Controls Engineers
  • Partner with Controls Engineering Management and Project Management to ensure controls projects are completed within project parameters.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 3-5+ years of applicable experience in an automation role
  • ElectricalEngineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
  • 2-5+ years of experience in engineered-to-order environment
  • Intermediate to Comprehensive proficiency in CAD and schematic drawing package creation
  • Intermediate to Comprehensive proficiency in programming languages, including PLC, robotic, vision systems, and handshaking between various peripheral systems
  • Experiencetroubleshooting automated equipment involving hardware and software issues
