Lockheed Martin is seeking a Low Observables (LO) Design and Analysis Engineer. The LO Engineer must be a system designer with prior design, integration, testing, and verification experience associated with the development of complex Low Observable Surface and Material technologies. This position requires:
- Oversight of Low Observable surface design and oversight of test data collection at subcontractor's facilities.
- Coordination of complex surface and material design assurance activities with functional, program management, and customer organizations.
- Coordination of Performance Based Spec updates with supplier and internal disciplines.
- Coordination of performance trade studies during the program design phase and analysis of measured data during integration.
Individual will be responsible for LO requirements development and LO related integration and test data analysis. Some travel is required to support subcontractor activities.
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform some combination of the following Low Observable Engineering assignments:
Assure that system IR and RF signatures are defined, minimized, and controlled through the entire development process.
Perform design analyses/trade studies for material selection, platform configuration and IR and RF phenomenology.
Assure that low signature design solutions are coordinated and managed with program disciplines and suppliers.
Perform verification of platform low observable characteristics via comprehensive RCS testing.
Demonstrate knowledge, or experience, ranging from EO expertise to RF and MMW scattering phenomena.
Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience with complex low observable design and material technologies.
Demonstrate experience with radar absorbing material, paints, seals, and their corrosion resistant properties.
Demonstrate knowledge associated with conformal radome design and radome, antenna, and platform RF interactions.
Currently holds a Secret clearance. Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
MATLAB, Simulink experience is desired.
