Logistics Training & Compliance SupervisorThis position will beresponsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Distribution Strategist, Integration of NewTechnology, Continuous Improvement and Cost reduction efforts, Support of skills-based operation throughout Niagara plants, enhancing current systeminfrastructure and management of learning. In addition, this Supervisor role will require collaborating team calendars, trainings, and activities with the Logistics Training & Compliance team.

Detailed Description

  • The Logistics Training & Compliance Supervisor manages the design and delivery of a wide variety of technical and team initiatives to address skills and development for employees within Niagara
  • Work with Logistics Training & Compliance Manager, Warehouse Managers, Human Resources and other stakeholders to determine and deliver development plans for all assessed personnel.
  • Supervise your team to ensure that competencies required by existing and new processes and equipment are identified and incorporated into corrective actions
  • Continuously learn cutting edge knowledge from Niagara OEMs and Vendors to ensure this role acts as a true Subject Matter Expert within their areas of expertise
  • Manages the training process from needs assessment to evaluation. Collaborate with system experts at each site in conjunction with the Systems Engineering Group
  • Create and maintain communication channels for better information flow -- Communicate relevant information to all major internal customers and stakeholders
  • Interacts with the Plant Directors, or their designees, to determine plant and training needs. Determine performance opportunities within sites, facilitates structured needs analysis to determine performance gaps and develops plans to close the gaps
  • Review and critique other classroom based training, to ensure training meets all of Niagara’s training standards
  • Collaborates with colleagues within the Learning and Development function to ensure consistent application of Corporate Learning and development standards

Travel requirements:

  • Travel to fulfillment centers 50-80% of time to oversee the development of processes, refine content and supervise delivered training

Work Experience/KSA’s

  • Required:
    • 5+ years – Experience in field of Logistics & Operations
    • 3+ years – Experience in related position
    • 2+ years – Experience in supervising employees

  • Preferred:
    • 7+ years – Experience in field of Distribution & Logistics
    • 5+ years – Experience in related position
    • 3+ years – Experience in supervising employees

    • Strong knowledge of ‘how to’ language

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • Associate's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field

Certification/License:

  • Required: ATD Certified Trainer
  • Preferred: ATD Certified Trainer and Certifications from current Niagara OEM’s or similar
