We are looking for a rock star Logistics Sourcing Manager for North America who will act as a competence expert for relative logistical categories. You are responsible for strategic development and implementation of sourcing category plans in alignment with business requirements, as well as the understanding of business and technical requirements and market developments so you can translate them into cost saving opportunities while securing buy-in for category-led projects. Additionally, you will drive area and cross-unit sourcing team ensuring collaboration and key stakeholder buy-in, as well as define and implement category specific savings activities in alignment with area Sourcing management and global category management.
1.) Plan, steer and develop supplier relationships on continuous basis. Act as central contact point towards strategic supplier base. Ensure timely reporting of supplier key performance indicators (KPI) against measurable and actionable targets.
2.) Lead, coach, involve and develop all team members directly in respective areas of focus and ensure proper level of training. Assist, support, provide help and encourage others outside of direct reporting structure to ensure business continuity of logistics.
3.) Implement the KONE Strategic Sourcing Process to reduce total cost and consolidate the supplier base in support of Front Line / Supply Line business operations in the KONE Americas. Complete regional/local supplier request for proposals (RFP), negotiations, selection, contracts, management and compliance based on KONE strategic sourcing process (otherwise known as BENIM).
4.) Arrange and conduct regular steering meetings with suppliers and stakeholders. Involve other functions in issue resolution and supplier development as needed Act as trusted advisor to Front Line and business/functional leaders by managing and driving resolution of supplier issues and escalate as needed.
5.) Maintain contract validity and manage re-negotiation as needed and in alignment with category and Sourcing strategy and ensure contract information in KONE Supplier Management Program is up-to-date.
6.) Steer/influence supplier segmentation within category and develop supplier risk plan. Establish regional understanding of category supplier market and competitive landscape.
7.) Manage savings actions (strategically with operational flexibility) with supplier, KONE Indirect team members, and Unit Leaders.
1.) Responsible for regular reporting of category KPI’s including monthly budget / forecast data.
2.) Ensure compliance and adherence to KONE sourcing (KSO) policies/ procedures and with quality, safety and environmental standards.
3.) Additional duties as deemed necessary by management.
