Leidos has a current job opening for Logistics Procurement Manager in Fairmont, WV supporting the DOD ABIS Sustainment and Services contract. This five year program will provide operations, maintenance, software sustainment services and hardware procurement services, and associated support for all devices associated with the DoD ABIS system. These services shall focus on supporting the Warfighter needs by sustaining adequate support functions.
Our company is searching for a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Logistics Procurement Manager. The Logistics Procurement Manager identifies and evaluates suppliers, arranges for transportation of purchased goods, identifies and develops strategies for addressing logistical barriers, ensures quality record keeping, and provide leadership to our Logistics and Training teams. The successful candidate will also be responsible for prioritizing tasks to meet expected needs of the technical staff and maintaining an accurate inventory. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Works closely with Leidos Procurement and suppliers on ensuring the right material is being placed on order and understanding delivery of material to the proper locations. Will supervise others.• Ensures the organization works with competent and reliable suppliers.• Collaborates with other senior procurement officials.• Coordinates purchases and organizes for transportation of purchased goods.• Identifies and addresses barriers that decrease operational efficiency• Monitors use of purchased goods and materials• Ensures all hardware and software in use is recorded and maintains an accurate inventory.• Manages a multi-million dollar bill of materials and cost account.• Manages all hardware and software maintenance and support contracts.• Understands and complies with Leidos and Dept. of Army procurement, inventory control, and materials requirements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field• 10 years + of experience in purchasing for US Government programs/projects over $10M per year• Leadership attributes including; commitment, strong communication skills, teamwork, planning and delegation, prioritization of multiple tasks, decision making, problem solving, and meeting schedules.• Knowledge of requirements management/traceability, oversight, and guidance.• Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, and SharePoint) experience required.• Strong communication skills• Must be proficient with Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Microsoft Project schedule experience• PMI PMP Certification or any related certification• Prior experience with Leidos and/or Dept. of Army procurement, inventory control, and materials processes, procedures and information sources a definite plus.• Prior DoD ABIS, IAFIS, Biometrics or related experience is a plus.• Master degree• 6 years + of experience in managing US Government program/projects
