Job Description

As a senior logistician and recognized authority in and Army program office. The candidate determines most critical and complex logistics support requirements including facilities, personnel, safety, customer service, maintenance, supply and supply chain, field services and transportation/distribution functions.
Directs and coordinates program activities designed to ensure effective and efficient economic support.
Analyzes and evaluates design concepts to determine if concepts satisfy support requirements; studies the relative supportability of alternative concepts.
Anticipates logistics problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors.
Determines contingency requirements and solutions.
Designs and conducts research for technical studies to support logistic functions involving platform integration
Assists in the design, implementation, and management of Army Logistics Plans and  reporting systems. 
Provides creative leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in logistics.
Collaborates with acquisition specialists, cost analysts, systems engineers, and trainers. 
Participates in planning and policy development issues with military officers (CPT; MAJ; LTC; COL).
Provides regular reporting to senior management on logistics issues.
Participates in creation of procedures and communication material that document logistic practices.
Participates in establishing short and long term logistics objectives consistent with organizational strategy.
May provide training and assistance to less experienced analysts.
Active Secret Clearance
Requires experience supporting electronic sensor systems or similar technical products.
Requires a working knowledge of lifecycle documentation.
Requires experience with Army accounting and tracking for standard and non-standard equipment, forward logistics operations, and Theater Provided Equipment (TPE).


Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 10-12 years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
