Interstate Restoration is a national emergency response restoration and general contractor specializing in the return of compromised property to their pre-loss condition. We work with our clients to restore their properties. Our team restores commercial, multifamily, hospitality, educational properties from water damages, flood, fire, smoke and natural disasters.

The Logistics & Inventory Manager's primary role is to provide materials, equipment and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing and distribution services.

The Logistics & Inventory Manager duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure effective and timely implementation of all logistics daily operational goals inclusive of shipping functions and inventory management
  • Develop and initiate monthly reports having required project timelines, corporate metrics and productivity measurements
  • Lead training, hiring, career development and enrichment of all department associates
  • Support inventory management consisting of reconciling and maintaining of finished goods inventory by SKU along with lot date at multiple warehouse locations
  • Establish and manage relations with warehouses, customs broker, drayage providers, sales force and customers
  • Analyze and log purchase orders commensurate to existing stock availability and reduce shipping cost
  • Oversee and monitor availability of stock to reduce shortages
  • Ensure to process orders and on-time delivery by network of courier companies and warehouses
  • Plan and arrange logistics required shipments
  • Support simplification and standardization of processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to top management
  • Assist audits of vendor invoices and month-end processing to incorporate finance accruals
  • Head team to develop, articulate and maintain logistic process documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Technical Qualifications:

  • Modern warehousing and storekeeping procedures including shipping, receiving and issuing materials, proper and orderly storage, optimum space utilization and stock inventory procedures
  • Materials, equipment and supplies used in restoration
  • Proven capability in developing, improving and managing processes
  • Ability to interpret reports (inventory controls)
  • Clear understanding of DOT compliance

Behavioral Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability work independently with little leader oversight
  • Must possess critical thinking skills and good judgment
  • Must possess a sense of urgency

Experience:

  • 5 years warehouse manager experience
  • 5 years working with inventory control
  • Experience developing warehouse/logistics standards

Preferences:

  • Mechanical skills a plus
  • Job cost control experience a plus

Special Requirements:

  • Must be willing and able to travel on a moment's notice to support business needs
  • Some international travel may be required, must have a passport or the ability to obtain a passport
  • Must be able to exert physical strength sufficient to lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing up to 75 lbs
  • Must be willing to work shift assignments which may include variable shifts with weekends or holidays
