Commercial Lending Management (“CLM”) manages the end-to-end commercial lending process for clients of the US CCB. Key responsibilities include loan underwriting, credit and financial due diligence, portfolio management, loan structuring and documentation, and credit delivery and servicing. CLM manages approximately $20 billion in credit exposure across 2,000+ credit relationships and a range of industries, including technology, industrials, healthcare, branded consumer, agriculture and energy. Key loan product capabilities include lines of credit, term loans, commercial real estate mortgages, SBA and EXIM loan facilities, foreign exchange and interest rate derivatives, and various forms of cross border lending throughout the CCB’s global network of 30+ countries.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated senior professionalto lead manage the loan product data and productivity responsibilities of the US CLM’s Governance & Productivity team. The role reports directly to the Head of Governance & Productivity will be based in either New York, NY or Dallas, TX.

Key Responsibilities

·Undertaking a strategic review of the end to end credit delivery process, including all CLM, IR, and CDO activities, processes, systems, procedures, organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, and data requirements

·Identifying process gaps across CitiRisk, Salesforce and the other related technology platforms in the US CCB; working with Technology to remediate in a manner the maximizes user and client experience;

·Collaborating with the Global Office, Technology and Legal to develop a fully digitized client interface for the credit origination and delivery experience, including the digitization and simplification of loan documentation

·Developing and implementing a continual improvement process framework for the loan product that seeks both incremental and break through improvements in loan products, services and delivery overtime

·Developing a best in class portfolio management dashboard / data analytics tool for Credit Officers, CLM Team leads and CLM management to quickly assess and monitor trends in portfolio performance, upcoming and past due work flows, and other credit delivery matters that require management attention or escalation

·Developing a productivity management tool / model to empower senior management to monitor and forecast work flows and portfolio requirements, capacity needs and headcount, and to allocate resources efficiently across the CLM organization

·Empowering relationship managers and credit officers with data analytics which aggregate internal and external market data and which, thru artificial intelligence, identifies trends and business opportunities related to loan pricing, terms and conditions, structure, etc.

·Collaborating with the Global Office and other regional CLM teams to develop a next generation end to end credit delivery process that maximizes the efficiency and productivity of the US CCB platform and its resources, while ensuring a best in class client experience and compliance with all bank and regulatory policies

·Chairing the CitiRisk Operating Committee and the CitiRisk Advisory Board and prioritizing the implementation of next wave / next generation CitiRisk requirements and enhancements for the US CCB

·Collaborating with the ICG to formulate a One-Citi approach to CitiRisk next generation enhancements

·Serving as a liaison with the Global Office, CLM peers, IR, and Technology to make decisions related to the continued implementation of CitiRisk in the US CCB

·Ensuring the escalation and timely remediation of credit delivery issues requiring attention to the US CLM Head, the Global and Regional Steering Committees and Technology

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree helpful but not required
  • 12+ years of experience in a credit underwriting, portfolio and/or risk management role with a large multinational financial services company
  • Deep knowledge of OCC regulatory policies and guidelines for credit underwriting and portfolio management
  • Possesses a deep, working knowledge of the key credit delivery systems of the CCB including CitiRisk Commercial, SalesForce, Facility Management, Optima, etc.
  • Possesses a deep, working knowledge of the relevant procedures, policies, business credit standards, and related flow charts and process maps that govern the end to end delivery of credit to CCB clients in the U.S., including the stakeholders involved and the strategic impact of each governance document on such parties
  • Challenges the status quo of current policies, processes and procedures, championing continuous improvement and innovation to ensure the right balance between policy requirements and client experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; proficient at lead managing complex projects across the US CCB
  • Establishes clear and achievable strategic goals for the team; prioritizes responsibilities and resources effectively with minimum engagement from seniors
  • Exhibits strategic leadership skills by defining short and long-term goals, assigning resources and defining and tracking performance metrics to ensure results
