Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and develop computer applications, systems and related procedures. Prepare program specifications, encode, test, and debug computer applications. This position may requireleading the work of others. This position reports to the Lifecycle Services Manager.
Design, code, test, debug, install, document and maintain computer applications. Participate in peer code reviews to up hold Insite standards. Create API’s to integrate between existing systems and customer applications.
Interface with users to extract functional needs and determine requirements. Conduct detailed systems analysis to define scope and objectives and design solutions. Create documentation per internalstandards. Work with customers to help develop and write system requirements.
Establish project plans and schedules, identify staffing and resource requirements, and monitor progress providing status reports as required. Oversee the design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation activities of project staff.
Documentation and Training
Provide training to users and knowledge transfer to support personnel and other staff members as required. Prepare system and programming documentation in accordance with internal standards. Stay informed of advances and pertinent changes in hardware and software technologies. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Ensure procedures are thoroughly tested before release. Write unit tests and record test results. Detect, define and debug programs whenever problems arise. Assist with system testing.
5-7 years' related experience
Bachelor degree (Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent)
Must have valid driving privileges
Occasional travel (0-5%)
Occasional overnight stays (0-5%)
A four-year college degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or equivalent education or experience. Four to ten years’ Intermediate level profession
