Position Overview
As our Leave Administration Manager, you will be responsible for managing Kiewit’s entire Leave and Unemployment Administration Program.

This position will be based out of Kiewit Plaza at 3555 Farnam Street, and must be able to travel 10-30%

• Oversee leave administrators of employee programs inclusive of FMLA, CFRA, PFL and other leaves required by state and federal law inclusive of communicating withexternal agencies, Executive Office, payroll and supervisors regarding employee status
• Administer and manage leave programs, including updating and improving internal systems
• Research questions regarding leave policies
• Ensure that forms are collected, recorded, and filed on time
• Communicate with HR department and employees about leave program
Manage company-wide ergonomics program inclusive of ensuring work station evaluations are conducted and documented and necessary equipment is in place for employees
• Help resolve escalated concerns from employees their leaves to ensure quality of service
• Maintain up to date knowledge of unemployment benefit and leave of absence regulations, and trends and make recommendations for changes when needed
Support other positions within the Employee Relations department as needed
• Draft employee correspondence regularly
Manage relationships with third-party vendor and obtain service-level metrics regularly

• 6+ years’ experience managing leaves or similar HR experience
• Experience as a supervisor, team lead or manager
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required
• Expert knowledge of federal and state regulations that pertain to leaves of absence, disability, and other employer-sponsored benefit programs
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%-30% of the time
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, inclusive of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when working with sensitive data
• Basic math skills sufficient to calculate health and other general benefit invoices
• Possess a high degree of accuracy to proof and verify the correctness of information
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Solid investigative and analytical skills sufficient to resolve problems and employee concerns
• Strong research skills
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other job site policies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with efficiency, a large and diversified workload, and challenging situations
• Ability to work normal working hours at their designated work location, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously managing a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively
• Ability to present in front of a group
• Ability to work productively and meet deadlines timely
• Regularly sit, bend, stand, stoop, walk, talk, and listen
