Job Description

The Lead Upgrade Engagement Owner is responsible for driving multiple, complex software upgrade projects from beginning-to-end. This includes coordinating and driving weekly meetings with clients and Cerner teams, managing to the timeline, ensuring critical path tasks are completed on time, driving the issue resolution process, and planning, executing, and supporting the Production upgrade event. Lead Upgrade Engagement Owners are also responsible for Upgrade Center Managed Services client relationships and driving organizational imperatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 7+ Project management work experience or successful completion of Cerner's Upgrade Engagement Owner Development Program


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of healthcare information system (clinical and/or financial) project management, sales or consulting work experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience in most phases of a single domain, multi-clinical domain and integrated system upgrade and/or implementation project
  • 2+ years of HCIT consulting and/or support work experience
