Role description:Role description:Arcadis is currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Transmission Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in Atlanta, GA or Columbus, OH.

This is a lead technical position within the Power Delivery unit of Arcadis. The position consisting in the coordination of the power delivery transmission line engineering team and performing hands on engineering, detail design and studies for utility clients in North America. The incumbent will also work closely with transmission engineering team within the Power Delivery group. As part of the Power Delivery team, you will help improve quality of life.
Role accountabilities: - Support, develop, and deliver HV and EHV transmission line projects from 69kV up to 500kV with quality, schedule, and safe design in mind.
- Work with Project Engineer and transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead utility systems
- Independently perform engineering and detail design drawings, studies and analysis, plan and profile documents, prepare bidding documents and specifications, bills of materials, shop drawing review, procurement and construction documents
- Support and work with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management
- Responsible for QA on client reports and deliverables
- Maintaining close coordination and help other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross selling and cross staffing opportunities. As well as Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals
We are seeking an individual with a strong team player mindset and excellent communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Additionally, this position may involve travel of up to 25% to client sites and customer meetings, both within North America and potentially internationally.
Qualifications & Experience:Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with electric transmission line design voltages in the range of 69 to 345kv
- Must be proficient with PLS-CADD software (good to have PLS-POLE or PLS TOWER)
- Ability to engineer and design transmission and distribution foundations, material, plan and profiles, and construction packages. Plus execute and delivery transmission line package under minimal supervision of Lead engineer
- Must have knowledge of applicable NESC, NEC, ASCE and other applicable standards in engineering and design of transmission projects
