Provides technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services tointernal and external customers insupport ofnetwork and informationsecurity systems. Designs, develops and implementssecurity requirements within an organization’s businessprocesses. Prepares documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines such as DITSCAP (DoD InformationTechnology Security Certification and Accreditation Process). Prepares Security Test and Evaluation plans. Provides certification and accreditationsupport in the development ofsecurity and contingency plans and conducts complexrisk and vulnerability assessments. Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps. Develops and completes systemsecurity plans and contingency plans. Recommends system enhancements to improvesecurity deficiencies. Develops, tests and integrates computer andnetworksecurity tools. Secures system configurations and installssecurity tools, scans systems in order to determine compliancy andreport results and evaluates products and various aspects of system administration. Conductssecurity programaudits and develops solutions to lessen identifiedrisks. Develops strategies to comply with privacy,risk management, and e-authentication requirements. Provides information assurancesupport for the development and implementation ofsecurityarchitectures to meet new and evolvingsecurity requirements. Evaluates, develops and enhancessecurity requirements, policy and tools. Provides assistance in computer incidentinvestigations. Performs vulnerability assessments including development ofrisk mitigation strategies. Considered a recognized authority within the company. Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtaindesiredresults.
Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD. Duties: Technical Lead - Technical Security Services Conducts security tests and evaluations of COTS and GOTS products to identify potential risks and provides implementation recommendations. Researches, tests, evaluates and recommends security technology and products. Analyzes proposed IT and network solutions to determine security vulnerabilities and recommend cost-effective countermeasures. Contributes technical security expertise in technical working groups. Leads and supervises lower-level analysts. Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Telecommunications, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Four (4) additional years of general experience (as defined below) may be substituted for the degree. Experience:10 years of experience in system or network design, engineering, implementation or operations with increasing responsibilities. Five (5) years of current experience in network or system security to include security technology and products test, evaluation, implementation or operations. Three (3) years of technical task management and supervisory experience. Certifications Required: CISSP Certifications Desired: MCSE, CCNP
