Parsons aims to provide key expertise to the DHS, Mission Engineering & Technology (ME&T) group, focused on developing capabilities that support the DHS cyber mission at multiple levels using technology demonstration, integration of existing solutions, and the development of new tactics to employ solutions. The ME&T Branch uses current and new technologies to provide rapid solutions to urgent challenges. As such Parsons engineers are uniquely positioned with customer representatives to ensure mission success.

 

As the systems engineering lead, your responsibilities will include:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess system architecture and current hardware limitations;
  • Identify and mitigate systems and security engineering risks across the program and resolve systems engineering issues;
  • Define and implement new processes, methods, and tools, consistent with the DHS customer’s needs, goals, and directives;
  • Participate in gathering business and product functional and performance requirements;
  • Define and design system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility;
  • Participate in customer briefings and technical exchanges.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited institution
  • 10+ years of experience as a system engineer or similar role
  • Experience leading/supervising teams responsible for planning, analyzing, implementing, and maintaining various projects
  • Ability to translate high level project and product specifications into system requirements and direct multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements
