Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator who has extensive experience as a Systems Administrator. This client is a well-known organization located in New York, NY. Summary: You must be comfortable with Windows Active Directory (not just creating user accounts), Citrix, and creating Domain Controllers. The individual will be responsible for systems administration, Windows Servers, infrastructure, and applications. Backup, disaster recovery, endpoint protection, system upgrades, planning and design will also be part of this role. You will also have one direct report. The Systems Administrator will be part of a small infrastructure team where they will get to wear many hats, work with a wide range of technologies, and support multiple offices. This is a highly visible role and it reports to the SVP of the firm. The candidate will be the-right hand- person. They are seeking a Windows Systems Administrator with demonstrated IT administration, infrastructureorientation, technical architect and strong Windows Active Directory background. AD administration, design, and build experience is important. This individual will be tasked with reviewing the client's current infrastructure and providing consultative recommendations for infrastructure enhancements. This role will be responsible for all Windows server backups, primary contact for support of help desk/users, and IT/Windows related projects. Though the role will not start off with managerial responsibilities it has the potential to grow into it.   • Must have a 4-yearBachelor's degree to qualify for this role; this role is also offering a discretionary bonus
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience with hardware and software under Enterprise Windows server and workstation
  • Experience with PowerShell (desirable) and working knowledge of LAN/TCP/IP concepts
  • VMware experience is a plus as well as experience with Citrix Design, Build, and Rollout
  • Strong Windows2008/2012/2013, and AD experience is required
  • Email, Active Directory, and all server events
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills is required
