The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont is seeking a full time Consulting & Supervising Lead Psychologist to work primarily on our Inpatient Psychiatry units.
The Consulting & Supervising Psychologist will design and oversee psychotherapy programming; provide clinical supervision to group therapists; consult providers of multiple disciplines re: clinical care and management; contribute to medical student and psychiatry resident education and training; provide consultation and direct service around behavior management and crisis stabilization; provide clinical supervision and training of psychology residents and fellows if present; and expand consultation offerings to currently underserved areas, such as the Emergency Department and Outpatient Clinics.
This psychologist leader will partner with nursing and physician leadership and join an expanding department of clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychometrists, mental health clinicians and trainees, and Department of Psychiatry colleagues.

Position Requirements:
Licensure in the State of Vermont as Psychologist-Doctorate
EDUCATION:
PsyD or PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from APA accredited program. Completion of internship from APA accredited or equivalent program. Completion of at least 1 year of postdoctoral training in a clinical setting.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Minimum 5 years' post-licensure experience in Clinical/Counseling Psychology, including provision of individual, family and group psychotherapy.
Strong background in clinical leadership and consultation re: clinical programming.
Evidence of effective supervision of staff clinicians and trainees.
Training and practice in risk assessment, workplace violence prevention, behavioral planning and consultation, psychological evaluation, brief hospital-based intervention and multidisciplinary consultation.
Preferred:
Experience in an academic health care setting.
Previous experience with program development and service delivery in inpatient psychiatric settings.
Expertise with and ability to train others to employ empirically supported interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapies (including DBT, mindfulness approaches, ACT), interpersonal therapy, brief dynamically oriented therapy, and trauma-focused interventions.
Salary commensurate with experience.
