Lead Speech Language Pathologist - Full Time Location: WCESC Start Date - August 2024 195 Day Contract The position is a full-time position, 195 workdays. It is anticipated that this position will include full-time Lead Therapist responsibilities, with the potential to maintain 0.25 of a caseload. Lead therapist responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Ohio
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology
- Ohio Department of Education Pupil Services License
- Ohio Department of Education Administrative/Supervisor Licensure: obtained or in process
- Pass criminal background check
- Valid driver's license or state identification
- At least 3-year experience in the educational setting practicing as a speech language pathologist

Guiding Focus: Work alongside the Director of Related Services and Preschool Programming to provide leadership and consultation to SLP department staff in order to fulfill the department goals by guiding team building and development and assist in long-range department planning.
Serve as a liaison between the SLP staff and Director of Related Service and Preschool Programs
Responsibilities: - Serve as a resource to WCESC SLP Department
- Conduct formative and summative evaluations of speech language pathology staff employed by the WCESC and maintain appropriate training credentials
- Develop current SLP staff by providing feedback on assessment, interventions, and therapeutic treatment strategies
- Provide programming supervision and supervision of employees within their clinical fellowship, as appropriate
- Provide personnel functions related to recruitment and employment of speech language pathologists
- Coordinate and organize continuing education opportunities for speech language pathologists, including submission for contact hour approval
- Provide in-service training for SLP staff or district personnel, as appropriate
- Assist in preparing and leading regularly scheduled department meetings.
- In conjunction with the WCESC Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Treasurer, and Director of Related Service and Preschool Programs, coordinate and maintain the budget for the SLP department
- Assist in the management of reimbursement for travel and professional development
- Disseminate information regarding current practices, education and research in the field of speech language pathology
- Assist in the ordering, inventorying and organization of department equipment, materials and supplies
- Assist in communication with district teams to support navigating caseload distribution and "in-district" professional issues
- Complete department publications requested by WCESC leadership
- Other duties needed to help WCESC fulfill our vision and abide by WCESC values
