Position Summary

We're looking for a clever, driven and creative Senior Software Engineer to collaborate on our monitoring data ingestion, aggregation and visualization platform. Metrics and analytics drive engineering at DocuSign and ensures that we are dedicating valuable engineering cycles to the right places. This high visibility role is a unique opportunity to impact the entire DocuSign team and drive adoption.

This Senior Software Engineer will work on a small development team dedicated to consuming, analyzing and visualizing telemetry data to be utilized by our entire engineering team. At DocuSign, telemetry data are critical pieces of information leveraged by the engineering org though all stages of the SDLC and across all environments. This Lead Software Engineer will develop and enhance key systems dedicated to monitoring product health and usage so that our development teams can quickly address incidents and continue to deliver high quality software in our fast paced, startup environment.

This position is an Individual Contributor and reports to the VP of Technical Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver new features for the engineering monitoring platform.
  • Drive down the TCO of the monitoring platform through smart engineering investments.
  • Play key role in future architecture design direction of the monitoring platform
  • Assist other engineering teams in expanding their use of the monitoring platform.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in CS, EE, Informatics or similar
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Solid coding skills in C#, C++ or Java

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to big data processing with technologies like Hadoop, Kusto / Application Insights Analytics, Esper or Hive
  • Background in ASP.Net or other web technologies
  • Passion for data-driven software engineering scenarios
