The Triumph Electronics & Control division located in West Hartford, CT is a leading independent aerospace fuel system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter and business jet markets. We employ approximately 550 employees. The Company's key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units and main fuel pumps for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to be our Lead Production and Field Management Engineer (LPFM) for our West Hartford, CT Team. The LPFM will coordinate and supervise repair qualification, low rate production and field return units in the Thermal System product line. The Thermal System product line consists of refrigeration based Environmental Control Systems (ECS) for military ground and airborne platforms, high-power motors and embedded software controllers. The LP and Field Management Lead will work with a cross functional team to manage all aspects of the work done in the repair area.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming units and work with engineering to develop root cause/corrective action
  • Oversee tear down of units and provide inputs to Program Management and Contracts Administration to help generate repair quotes
  • Work with Planning to manage part inventory and attrition stock
  • Manage repair schedule, resource assignments and priority
  • Communicate monthly sales, customer delivery commitments and manpower to senior leadership
  • Work with engineering to develop build, tear down and test instructions

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the commercial and military aircraft business and possess many of the attributes listed below:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Will consider those with a Business degree and related aerospace thermal systems experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Prior team leadership experience and strong communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Earned Value tracking utilizing Deltek a plus
  • Able to develop and maintain Microsoft Project schedules
