Job Summary: The Lead Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to UPMC Pinnacle patients of all ages through medication order review, preparation, dispensing, documentation and monitoring. The Lead Pharmacist collaborates with patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and fiscally responsible patient-centered care. This position also has a leadership component that requires extensive program development, provision of education, and committee involvement. Requires an extensive command of operational practices in specialty area, including technologies, regulations, pharmacy workflow, statistics, quality assurance and procurement.
Job Requirements: Registered pharmacist with Pennsylvania licensure/eligibility. Minimum of 2 year hospital pharmacy experience
Preferred Qualifications: Applicable post-graduate degree or training. Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency
