About the role:
Borrowell is looking for a strategic and results-oriented people leader to head up our growing team. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role is for a big-picture thinker who can execute against their plan, with a high attention to detail, to engage and retain a high performing team. You will grow and lead a team that manages the employee experience and all people programs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to understand their perspectives and needs related to compensation and benefits, and to provide counsel to leaders regarding evolving compensation practices, evaluating new positions, job bands, grade levels, job descriptions, promotions and transfers
- Lead compensation strategy for the company by conducting market research, recommending programs, compensation design, and long-term incentive programs including equity
- Coach people leaders and managers to help them drive effective career conversations, foster feedback and encourage their people to master their craft through personal development and growth planning
- Lead the performance management and compensation review process
- Develop, analyze and optimize our HR strategy and programs across all channels to hit our metrics & function goals
- Manage and mentor direct reports; grow the team’s capabilities through ongoing thought leadership
- Manage a variety of programs, including employee engagement, performance, learning and development
- Collaborate with various functions across the company
- Plan, forecast, and hold ongoing accountability for HR budget
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in roles of increasing responsibility in People Operations/HR
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Proven record of attracting and mentoring specialized HR and Ops professionals building a positive team culture, and leading your team to achieve objectives
- Experience working cross functionally across departments
- Strong understanding of the metrics & KPIs that drive a successful fintech
- Proficient knowledge of people operations and how to translate results into meaningful improvements for the team
- Great communication skills, both written and oral
- Comfortable presenting and successfully articulating the team’s HR strategy and vision
