Position Summary

Quotient Technology is looking for a Lead Network Engineer to join our corporate IT team! This position is responsible for designing, engineering and supporting a complex enterprise Local Area (LAN), Wide Area (WAN) and Wireless (WLAN) network. This requires superior knowledge in managing Ciscoswitches, firewalls and UC services, Juniper firewalls and Aruba controllers and access points, as well as layer 3 routing protocols including OSPF, RIP and BGP. Additional responsibilities include technical leadership, mentors other team members, and leads projects.


Position Responsibilities

  • Designs maintainable solutions to meet business requirements through creation and application of best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability and security
  • Works with internal customers to understand business requirements and needs
  • Participates in 24x7on callrotations
    • Deploys new solutions and configurations
    • Maintains and manages technical relationships with vendors
  • Provides technical leadership, mentors other team members, and leads projects
  • Deploys patches, updates, and configuration changes
  • Creates and documents engineering standards

Position Qualifications

  • 10+years ofexperience innetworking andtelecommunications
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or electrical engineering
    • Any combination of education and experience will be considered
    • CCNP or CCIE nice to have
  • Excellent knowledge in enterprise LANs, WANs, WLANs including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points
  • Excellent knowledge in layer 3 routing protocols: OSPF, RIP and BGP
  • Excellent Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocol troubleshooting ability, specifically with using protocol analyzers and/or sniffers
  • Excellent knowledge of information securityrisks and counter-measures for networking equipment
  • Superior knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Systems
  • Superior knowledge of firewalls, data encryption, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and other industry-standard techniques and practices
  • Superior ability to work independently, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction
  • Superior critical thinking skills with the ability to develop completely new problem-solving approaches and formulate innovative solutions
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Ability to lift 30lbs unaided
