Well established and busy organization specializing in the most innovative, non-chemical water treatment system design, manufacture and operation, seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer with P.E. to join our winning team in Frisco, TX. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a similar role, will be highly astute and an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer with broad knowledge and expertise in designing water treatment systems specifically in produced water applications. The successful candidate must be able to lead, train, mentor, "think outside the box" and bring forth lean process and manufacturing methodologies which will greatly improve upon system design, performance and cost efficiencies.


  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering department
  • Responsible for divisional P&L, capital & operating budgets and reporting to senior management
  • Must be able to act as a strong representative and liaison with key Technology Partners
  • Supervise & hire engineers - this position manages all employees of the engineering department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department
  • Develop and execute schedules and team meetings on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Supervise engineering team to ensure the design plans stay on schedule
  • Ensure professional engineering standards are maintained and met for all designs
  • Prioritize engineering work daily based upon changing priorities & resource capacity.

· Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones

· Works with the manufacturing & operations managers to review and monitor quality and process improvements and new product development

· Negotiates contracts with consultants and suppliers

Education and Experience

· +10 years' experience supervising or managing in an engineering design environment

· Experience in working in multi-discipline design team

· Advanced Mechanical Engineering Degree with MBA preferable

· P.E. certification also required

Preferred Qualities

· Experience with oil & gas and/or water treatment equipment

· Proven expertise in project management, risk management, problem solving/analysis,

technical capacity, communication proficiency, leadership, and financial management.

· Self-Starter and highly motivated

· Good computer skills with clear understanding of Excel, Word, Outlook

· Proficient understanding of Engineering Design & Simulation Software: Auto Cad, Solid


· Good knowledge of water treatment industry

· Willing and able to travel (up to 10%)

· Strategic thinker and good listener

· Highly organized

· Must be able to think on the fly and quickly articulate optimal process design

· Possess qualities whereby he/she can bring new and innovative ideas to management to

help better the company
